Rusty Quartzite Panels
Quartzite is a nonfoliated metamorphic rock composed almost entirely of quartz. It forms when a quartz-rich sandstone is altered by the heat, pressure, and chemical activity of metamorphism. These conditions recrystallize the sand grains and the silica cement that binds them together.
Quartzite: Quartzite is a granular metamorphic rock consisting of interlocking grains of quartz - or silica dioxide. It has the general chemical formula of [SiO2]x. It is largely used as a building stone.
It is stackable and resistant to frost damage and breakage and has extremely low water absorption.
In the recent years, it has been more and more popular as roofing material, flooring tile, wall cladding tile, garden decoration, etc.
